last wed, i last min do duty.. last min change duty with CPL mark louies, reason, to avoid a DOO.. that DOO has been hunting for me ever since he knew i could play a wee bit of guitar.. phew, i escaped his vision and avoided showing off any of the musically inclined side of me (hey! i do have such a side alright, so dun luff!) anyway, its 2 months lying low for me. but on the next day, a thur, (which was the initial date whereby i have to do duty, but i swapped with CPL Mark,) while i was about to go home after i sign off, i was called to help clear up the conference room, bring the kopi, teh, cups trays to the cookhouse.. i was not the only one la, got LCP kevin liu and LCP Lin Xiu oso, den we joked and talked on the way to cookhouse. after depositing the wares, we settled down for a sumptious, delicious and nutritious dinner provided by SFI (Singapore food Idustries). It was way past my going home time, but we still listen to each other sharing camp gossips, rumors and funny stuffs bout our officers and fellow staffs. well, its all nice and proper for the evening.... until i saw a familiar figure across the parade square.. deng deng deng dung~ its my predator!!! dat WO andrew lim.. again, i pretend to talk to my fellow mates blahblah blah, den, "are u eddie? ah!! eddie, i need a favour from u, u noe how to play guitar rite?" knowing wad he wanted from me, and knowing i can't escape this time, i replied" ya la sir, but not very good la, can only read the cords and strum, not good la.." and to my utter disappointment, he said" good good good!! ok, i need u to play on the 23rd of dec to the old folks in Bethany dunnoe wad home.. (i thk its bethany methodist home. .ya).. " i smaile and said"ok, can.. no problem sir, it'll be great!" haha dat time i really very fake lor.. so the morale of the story is... 是福不是禍, 是禍逃不過! secondly, always care for the aged, disabled, sicked, friends, man and woman, children and dogs (can forget bout cats) and try not to show off your wadever talents in SAF! haha.. x-mas mood lor!!
