setting: Bedok MRT platform
weather: I imagined that it was snowing(for dramatic effects)
on my way back from 85, i hopped on a train towards aljunied.. it was really cold, and while i was msging my fren, this magician sitting on the opposite row took out a pack of cards, den two white rubber bands. he looked around him, smiled, intersected, and locked the rubber bands. all within the train compartment was looking at him(like the way normal S'poreans would as if u are a freak) den, he blew lightly at the bands and pulled the 2 bands apart. poof! it became COCOCRUNCH!!.. erm.. no la, the bands just became separated. He smiled at the old lady sitting beside me, and the lady smiled back, appreciating his efforts. The rest, simply looked away or got busy with sms's again. Suddenly, he raised the pack of cards, reviewed the top card, (its a diamond king) slot it into the middle of the deck, blew it, and reviewed the top card..as expected, diamond king showed its face. The magician den tilted his head slightly, gave a smile. this time, he took out a marker pen and wrote something on the card, bend it in half. he slot that king once again into the pile, made eye contact with everyone who was watching and raised one eyebrow. he raised the deck with his left hand and did a pulling action above the deck with the other hand. and it was like "poped" the top card protrude out as if it was bent before. yap, its that king again.
at this time, i've reached my station and counldn't witness anymore of his magical tricks.. but it left me thking.. y in the world would he wanna do wad he did? was it to gain some performing experience, or wasit his sole intention to brightened up the days of others just like wad he did with the old lady earlier on? if thats the case, would i do the same thing he did if i'm able to pull tricks like his'? will u?
*btw, i still imagined that it was snowing lightly when i left the cabin* (haha)
